In order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 and realize a decarbonized society by 2050, next-generation solar cells such as perovskite solar cells and integrated building materials are expected to be introduced.
In urban areas such as Yokohama City, where suitable locations for photovoltaic power generation are limited, in order to further expand the spread of renewable energy, we solicited proposals for next-generation solar cell demonstration experiments utilizing public facilities, and selected three companies and four proposals.
As the fourth demonstration experiment, the demonstration experiment of organic thin-film solar cells will be started at Tsurumi Ward Office on Monday, March 3, 2025. Lightweight, flexible, thin solar cells are installed according to the shape of the curved glass on the ceiling of the windbreak room to evaluate and verify the amount of power generated.
