Yokohama City has concluded a partnership agreement on renewable energy with 16 municipalities rich in renewable energy (hereinafter referred to as renewable energy) resources as one of the initiatives to realize the decarbonization "Zero Carbon Yokohama" by 2050. In the project implemented based on this agreement, the Yokohama Marine Tower, which switched to renewable energy, started selling products from Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and Yono Town, Iwate Prefecture, where the renewable energy power plants are located, began on June 20, 2024.
