In accordance with the Clean Gas Certificate System, Yokohama City and Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. have agreed to transfer the environmental value of the clean gas certificate issued for e-methane manufactured at the Tokyo Gas Yokohama Techno Station Methanation Demonstration Facility and will use it for gas lamps installed in Yamashita-koen-mae.
Under this system, which started operation in April 2024, this is the first time in Japan to transfer the environmental value of e-methane-derived clean gas certificates.
