Yokohama City has set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY2030 compared to FY2013, with the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% compared to FY2013 by FY2030 compared to FY2013.
Since fiscal 2022, we have been promoting the “Yokohama version of Decarbonization experimental project,” a city that utilizes renewable energy, in order to reduce emissions from the household sector, which accounts for about 30% of the city's CO2 emissions.
This time, in order to further reduce greenhouse gas emissions, local residents will actively work on decarbonization actions and solicit town development proposals to raise awareness of decarbonization throughout the district.
For selected projects, a maximum of 5 million yen per year will be subsidized for three years.
