The Yokohama City Hall and buildings in the Minato Mirai District will work on demand response in an integrated area <Minato Mirai District Virtual Power Plant Concept!>

　The Minato Mirai District has been selected by the Ministry of the Environment as a “decarbonized pre-decarbonized area” and is promoting various initiatives related to decarbonization. This time, the Yokohama City Hall and the buildings in the Minato Mirai district will participate in the capacity market (invocation command power supply) in 2027 and work on demand response (power saving) as a whole area. Such efforts involving multiple facilities in the region to participate in the capacity market and implement demand response are rare in Japan, and this is an advanced model example.
　It is expected that approximately 2,000 kW will be created through the cooperation of the Yokohama City Hall and the buildings in the Minato Mirai district.
