An EV bus with "real zero" CO2 emissions during driving by "Hamako Electricity" utilizing renewable energy from incineration plants will start operation.

　In order to achieve decarbonization by 2050, Yokohama City is promoting the spread of electric vehicles (EVs) and other products aimed at local production and local consumption of renewable energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the transportation sector.

　Kawasaki Tsurumi Rinko Bus Co., Ltd. will start operating EV buses on routes departing and arriving at Tsurumi Station West Exit. The electricity required for driving is the first time on a bus route in Yokohama city by using the electricity menu "Hamako Electricity" for city businesses utilizing renewable energy (biomass) from the Motoichi Incineration Plant. Realize operation with virtually zero CO2 emissions.
