"Flower of Exchange and Learning" is now available.

In general, libraries are places to read books quietly. However, there were many voices saying that they wanted to enjoy books with friends and small children, and to do research while talking. Therefore, in March, Chuo-toshokan reopened the Exchange and Learning Floor on the first basement floor.
In addition to the viewing space for CDs and DVDs, there are seats where you can study and study while talking in groups. In the "Together / Manabu Room", you can connect a PC or smartphone to an electronic blackboard, and you can use the large screen to learn and discuss in groups.
It can be used free of charge, so please make a reservation from the web page.

There are also many services for those who have difficulty reading in print.

What kind of library is Chuo-toshokan

Chuo-toshokan is the largest library in the 18th ward. Located on the hillside of Nogezaka, it is a five-story building that features a hexagonal shape to fit the terrain. It holds 1.7 million books, one of the country's leading books, including a three-story underground library. The floor is divided according to the theme, and it has a wide range of materials, from introductory books to specialized books.
Many books, such as books returned to each library or agency, and books carried to other libraries, are collected, sorted, and then transported toChuo-toshokan. On this day, containers containing a large number of books was carried by seven trucks.

We look forward to seeing you.

Each floor has a corner that summarizes materials on specific themes such as "medical and health information" and "legal information" and "legal information" to make it easier to find materials, and search tools such as research guidance called pathfinders.
In addition, exhibitions are being devised so that the librarian at the counter can help you with your research and enjoy reading more.
Guided by an easy-to-understand arrangement, your hands can be extended to books that you do not usually read, and the possibility of reading is expanded.

Concluding

The librarian told me in an era where I could look up anything on the Internet.
"The Internet seems to be able to look into anything, and there are a lot of things that can only be found in books. I hope you will be able to make good use of both."
"There is also a reference service to help librarians with reading and research. Please feel free to rely on the library."
In Chuo-toshokan, personal computers can be brought to the "Interaction and Learning Floor" on the 3rd, 4th and 1st basement floor, and some floors support Free Wi-Fi.
Care has been taken so that students can learn using both books and the Internet.
Why don't you enjoy meeting new reading at the library this summer?
