1st basement floor Exchange and Learning Floor

Overview

The basement floor of the Chuo-toshokan was renewed on March 30, 2022 as a floor for exchange and learning.
This is the first area in Chuo-toshokan where you can talk in the museum. It can be used for various purposes together with library materials, such as spreading large picture books and photo books on your desk and viewing them together as a group, collecting newspapers and maps, examining school homework and local issues. I can do it.
In addition, a public wireless LAN service that can be used free of charge (*) has been provided on the exchange and learning floor and the study room on the first basement floor.

Introduction of each corner

Tsudo / Kataru Corner

Two to four people can read and write assignments while talking.

This is a corner where you can browse books in the library and do homework and assignments in a group of 2 to 4 people.
It can be used for up to 1 hour at a time.
It can be extended for one hour, except during congestion. Please contact us at the counter.

※To apply for use, please present the representative's library card and application form at the counter.

Together, Manab Room

Meetings can be held with 4 to 6 people.

This is a small room that can be used by up to 6 people.
The large screen electronic blackboard is available, and it is also recommended for small meetings and group work.
It can be used for up to 1 hour at a time.
It can be extended for one hour, except during congestion. Please contact us at the counter.

※To apply for use, please present the representative's library card and application form at the counter.
※You can also make a reservation in advance. You can make a reservation using the electronic application system (outside site) of Yokohama City.
(In order to use the electronic application system, login is required. In addition, if you make more than one reservation per day, you will be treated as cancellation except for the first reservation.)

Space to see and listen

You can watch library CDs, DVDs and cassette tapes.

This is an individual booth where you can watch CDs, DVDs, and cassette tapes owned by the library.
Please apply at the counter. It can be used for up to 2 hours at a time.
