A local report on the arrival of the February issue passenger ship Nippon Maru

We photographed the "Nippon Maru" that arrived on December 27, 2021 from Osanbashi.

Last Updated February 1, 2022

The movement of the hull from entering the port to the landing is a must-see!

The scheduled arrival time is 12:30. We arrived at Osanbashi around 11:30, one hour before the scheduled arrival time. When we arrived at Osanbashi, Nippon Maru passed the Bay Bridge and was ready to land on Osanbashi.

The large hull turns slowly, centered on the bow, and gradually approaches the Osanbashi. It was so cool that everyone would like to see it locally.

When the hull becomes horizontal to the quay of Osanbashi, work to fix the ship to the shore begins. In order to connect the large hull to the shore, we could see the rope hanging on the mooring pillar (= bit) from the green space on the roof of Osanbashi.

You can also see the cruise ship on the shore from Yamashita Park. On the day of the interview, Nippon Maru and Asuka II arrived at Osanbashi. It is recommended as a photo spot where you can see two ships at once. Please check the cruise ship arrival schedule and enjoy it up close.
