A local report on the arrival of the February issue of the cruise ship Nippon Maru.

We took a picture of the "Nippon Maru" landing on December 27, 2021 from Osanbashi.

Last update date February 1, 2022

The movement of the hull from entering the port to berth is a must-see!

The scheduled arrival time is 12:30. We arrived at Osanbashi at around 11:30, one hour before the scheduled arrival time. When we arrived at Osanbashi, Nippon Maru passed the Bay Bridge and were preparing to berth at Osanbashi.

The large hull turns slowly, centering on the bow, and gradually approaches Osanbashi. It was so cool that everyone would like to see it on site.

When the hull becomes horizontal to the quay of Osanbashi, the work to fix the ship to the shore begins. In order to connect the large hull to the shore, we could see the rope hanging on the mooring pillar (= bit) from the green space on the roof of Osanbashi.

You can also see the cruise ship on board fromYamashita Park. On the day of the interview, Nippon Maru and Asuka II were landing on Osanbashi. It is recommended as a photo spot where you can see two ships at once. Please check the cruise ship arrival schedule and enjoy it up close.
