Information on rainwater storage tank installation subsidy program
We support citizens who are thinking about reuse of rainwater.

Application acceptance period
From Monday, April 15, 1961 to Friday, January 31, 7
Please be sure to check the following items before applying within the application period.
Grant amount
It is half of the purchase price (including tax). However, the maximum amount of the grant is 20,000 yen.
If a fraction occurs, round it down to less than 100 yen.
Example of calculation of grant amount
When purchasing a rainwater storage tank of 35,500 yen and an accessory of 1,000 yen (36,500 yen in total)
36,500 yen x 1/2 = 18,250 yen
Since less than 100 yen will be rounded down, the grant amount will be 18,200 yen.
Grantees
Owner of buildings in the city (in the case of apartment, the divisional ownership is regarded as one building).
However, buildings that have used this subsidy program in the past are not eligible for the grant.
Subject to grant
The grant target is one rainwater storage tank (two or more units are acceptable if connected) and its accessories (fall prevention chain, table, components required for connection, etc.).
However, shipping and installation costs are not eligible for the grant.
Rainwater storage tanks to be subsidized meet all of the following criteria.
（１） Water storage capacity of 100 liters or more. (Connected tank is also acceptable.)
（２） It must be ready-made and sealed structure.
（３） Connecting to the rain gutter of the building.
In addition, when we receive grant in 2024, tank which we purchased after April 1, 2024 are targeted and need to apply for grant by January 31, 2025.
Application method
As a general rule, I would like procedure from Yokohama-shi electronic application system.
If you have difficulty using the electronic application system, please fill out the required items in the grant application form and installation completion report (Form No. 1) and bring it with attached documents, mail or submit it to the application below.
※In the case of application from the electronic application system, there is no need to fill out the application form.

Precautions
- The deadline will be closed when the budget is reached.
- Be sure to connect the rainwater storage tank to the gutter of your own building.
- When purchasing using points or coupons, the use of points and coupons are not eligible for the grant.
- Corporations with a consumption tax purchase deduction tax must apply for a reduction in the consumption tax equivalent before the subsidy is issued, or to return the consumption tax equivalent after the subsidy is issued. - It is necessary to purchase and install after April 1 of the application year, and apply within the application deadline of the same year.

FAQs
It is not eligible. Rainwater storage tanks purchased on or after April 1, 2024 and submitted a grant application and a report on completion of installation by March 31, 2025 are eligible for this year's subsidy.
This refers to a fall prevention chain, stand, and components necessary for connection, etc.
It is not eligible. However, if the total capacity is 100 liters (50 liters x 2, etc.) by connecting the rainwater storage tank, it will be eligible.
In the past, it cannot be used when installing this subsidy system in a building where a rainwater storage tank has been installed.
Designation (recommended) is not performed in Motoichi. In addition, we do not include suppliers and purchase methods.
