In Yokohama-shi, based on sewer law Article 10 Clause 1 proviso (drainage equipment setting duty exemption), Yokohama-shi sewer regulations Article 3 Clause 1 second proviso (drainage equipment connection exception), certain standard We allow sewage to drain sewage that meets to public water bodies and rainwater pipes. With the revision of the Sewerage Law Enforcement Ordinance, the water quality standards of the "Office Administration Guidelines for Exemption of Drainage Equipment Installation Obligation" and the "Office Administration Guidelines for Permission for Drainage Equipment Connection Special" will change from April 1, 2025. .

Revision of the Guidelines
The water quality standards of the "Office Administration Guidelines for Exemption of Drainage Equipment Installation Obligation" and the "Office Administration Guidelines for Permission of Drainage Equipment Connection Special" will change as follows.

Water quality items: Number of coliforms
Water quality standards: Up to 3000 pieces/cm3
[From April 1, 2025]
Water quality items: Number of Escherichia coli
Water quality standards: Up to 800 CFU/mL
※CFU: Colony formation unit
To businesses that have been licensed before March 31, 2025 based on the "Office Administration Guidelines for Exemption of Drainage Equipment Installation Obligation" and the "Office Administration Guidelines for Permission for Drainage Equipment Connection Exceptions"
Based on the revision of the guidelines on April 1, 2025, the water quality standards and water quality measurement of the permission conditions in the permit will be replaced as follows.
Within 3,000 Escherichia coliforms/cm3 → Escherichia coli number 800 CFU/mL or less
