About National Evacuee Information System
For those who have been evacuated from the municipalities where they lived to another municipalities due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima nuclear accident that occurred on March 11, 2011, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will notify you of your information by providing it to the nearest ward office where you currently live, you will receive various notifications from the municipalities of the evacuation source, such as notification regarding exemption payment (PDF 9KB)

Measures under the Special Law
The Act on Special Administrative Procedures for Evacuees to Address Disasters Caused by Nuclear Power Plant Accidents in the Great East Japan Earthquake and Measures for Relocation of Address (hereinafter referred to as the "Special Law") was enacted in the Diet on August 5, 2011 and came into effect on the 12th of the same month.
The outline of this special law is that those who have been evacuated from municipalities (13 municipalities) designated by law, such as Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, will notify the municipalities of the evacuation destination, such as Address, and receive administrative services at the evacuation site.
In order for those who have been evacuated to receive the administrative services stipulated in the Special Law in Yokohama City, it is necessary to have the municipalities of the evacuation source in Fukushima Prefecture go directly to the procedures for "evacuation residents notification" by mail etc. is. In addition, based on the above "National Evacuee Information System", those who provided information such as the evacuation destination Address at the nearest ward office that will be the evacuation destination do not need to notify the municipalities of the evacuation source again.
