Refund of National Health Insurance premiums

 As a result of recalculation of the National Health Insurance premium due to social insurance, moving out of the city, death, etc., if the premium falls or if the premium of the same delivery date is paid in duplicate, overpaid amount (error payment) may occur. If an incorrect payment occurs, it will be returned to the head of the household or heir as a refund.
 The target person will be notified in the "National Health Insurance Premium Refund Notice". In addition, the “National Health Insurance Fee Refund Notice” includes documents required for the procedure for receiving the refund (required items) and return it in the enclosed reply envelope. (If you have already registered for fund transfer for the payment of the National Health Insurance premium, you do not need to complete the procedure. However, if you are transferring funds at Japan Post Bank, you need to submit this transfer request form to fill in the account information for the transfer. )

※Please be careful about fraudulent phone calls that pretend to be Yokohama City staff. We will not ask you to operate the ATM for refunds.
