Pre-employment training-The first step as a teacher with peace of mind-[For new recruitment candidates for Motoichi faculty and staff]
Pre-recruitment training is a voluntary training program for newly hired candidates to prepare for their life as teachers and students in one year of school, and to be able to arrive with peace of mind as teachers in Yokohama City. We also have e-learning and online exchange meetings, so even those who are far away can take the course.
Yokohama-type newcomer training training-support for 3 years after arrival-[For newly hired faculty and staff in Motoichi]
In Yokohama, in addition to the first-year training program, which is a statutory training program, Yokohama also conducts its own training program for the second and third years to improve the qualities and abilities of teachers.

Ingenuity of training method-learning in various ways to live at school-[For Motoichi faculty and staff]
We conduct training while devising ways to learn so that what teachers have learned can live at school. For example, in the training for teachers who have experienced 10 years, they use blocks to look back on their past experiences and interact with teachers in the same position. In addition, we are devising training methods by utilizing various tools.
Dispatch of teacher training to Fukushima Prefecture-Look at, feel, and deepen understanding of affected areas now-[For Motoichi faculty and staff]
Every year, approximately 80 faculty members are dispatched to Fukushima Prefecture.
I visit affected areas and facilities to learn to understand radiation correctly. It is important to see and feel the present of affected areas.
Overseas training dispatch [for Motoichi faculty and staff]
We dispatch overseas (about 1-2 weeks). Through educational practices and living experiences overseas, we will deepen our understanding of different cultures and enhance communication skills.
Hama-Up (Class Improvement Support Center) [For eligible users, see "Usage Guide" on the Hama-Up Web page]
Hama Up is a facility to improve teaching and teacher skills, and is set up at four locations in the city (in the school education offices by area). Experienced class improvement support staff (former principal and former deputy principal) are stationed and provide various consultations such as class making and class making.
Work style reform of faculty and staff
In Yokohama City, we are promoting the “Work Style Reform Plan for School Teachers and Staff at Yokohama City” with the initiative of “Happy Teachers to Create a Smile for Children”.
