University collaboration initiatives related to the training, recruitment, and development of teachers

Collaboration and collaboration with universities

In Motoichi, we conclude comprehensive agreement about training, upbringing of teacher with 42 universities (currently 55 universities) responsible for teacher training in 2014, and university and the Board of Education, Motoichi school cooperate, We established "Yokohama-shi university cooperation, collaboration meeting" with the aim of enriching each educational activity through collaboration.

Teacher training in Yokohama who walks with universities (in page order)

Over the five years from 2014, Yokohama City and universities have collaborated to build various initiatives through the "Yokohama City University Collaboration and Collaboration Council" to enhance teacher training. I would like to give you an overview. (issued in FY2018)

Leaflet on school experience "School experience in Yokohama"

This leaflet has been created as a tool for thinking together about how to make it a better activity for both universities and students who experience the school, and the accepting schools.
The school experience is an effective opportunity for students to learn about the state of the school and the work of teachers while interacting with elementary school studenｔ students, as well as experience the appeal of schools and teachers.
Please use it at universities, etc. so that universities, the Board of Education, and schools can cooperate and collaborate and train human resources who will be responsible for future education in Yokohama.

Dissemination of the appeal of the profession of "teachers"

[Video] "I want to be a teacher" ~ High school student teacher experience ~

We collaborated with Yokohama National University to create videos for junior and senior high school students and university students in order to let them know the appeal of the profession of "teachers" from an early stage. (Produced in FY2020)
In this video, the main character high school students experienced school at elementary school, saw behind the scenes of teachers' work, and asked, "Why did you aim to become a teacher?" By asking teachers what they were happy and difficult, they will talk about their thoughts on "teachers" and "schools". In addition, principals and teachers send messages to high school and university students who are interested in the profession of "teachers".

Yokohama City Human Resource Development Index

In March 2019, City of Yokohama, Board of Education Secretariat made final revisions to the Yokohama City Human Resource Development Index [Management Version] and in March 2020, the Yokohama City Human Resource Development Index [Teacher Version], the School Nutrition Staff and Nutrition Teacher Version] to foster faculty and staff who continue to learn.

This time, the national guidelines were revised in August 2022 to realize the “new teacher learning,” and the “4th Yokohama City Educational Promotion Basic Plan” was formulated in March 2023. Based on this, we revised the "Yokohama City Human Resource Development Index" to share goals for fostering faculty and staff who continue to learn autonomously.
Along with that, a page on "Human Resource Development for Teachers and Staff" has been newly established, so please look there.
