Support for home care for young cancer patients

In Yokohama City, a part of the home service fee is subsidized (redemption payment) so that cancer patients under the age of 40 can live their own lives in a place where they are accustomed to living. We have implemented a subsidy system to reduce the burden.

■Those who are eligible for the grant

・ A cancer patient under the age of 40 who has a resident certificate in Yokohama City and whose physician determines that the second insured person in The Long-term Care Insurance can use The Long-term Care Insurance services with cancer.

■Details of the grant

・Medical and welfare services required to live at home (excluding those covered by insurance)
　Physical care, living assistance, visiting bathing care, short-term entrance life care
・Use of taxis for getting on and off assistance such as going to the hospital and going to the hospital
・Other services required for home medical treatment
・Lending or purchasing welfare equipment and nursing care products (including expenses for importing and exporting welfare equipment and consumables) However, food is not included.
　Example: Wheelchairs (including accessories), special sleepers (including accessories), bedsore prevention equipment, postural changers, sitting toilet seats, bathing aids, etc.

※There is no designation of the office. (The service of any business establishment is eligible.)

■Grant amount

Based on the upper limit of 60,000 yen for the service usage fee per month, we will support 90% of the service usage fee. (Includes purchase of welfare equipment.)
※You will have to pay the full amount once.

If the same subsidy can be received under other systems, the amount excluding the subsidy from the cost of using services, etc. is eligible.
The grant amount from Yokohama City is up to 54,000 yen per month. Usage fees that exceed the amount of the grant will be borne by the individual.
In principle, the service usage fee after the “start of use (planned) date” described in the application form will be eligible for the subsidy.
