Home care support subsidy for young cancer patients

Yokohama City has been conducting a business to support the lives of cancer patients since 2016.

In Yokohama City, a part of the home service fee is subsidized (reimbursement payment) so that cancer patients under the age of 40 can live their own lives in a place where they are accustomed to living. We have implemented a subsidy system to reduce the burden on

■　Those who are eligible for the grant

・ A cancer patient under the age of 40 who has a resident certificate in Yokohama and whose physician determines that the The Long-term Care Insurance's second insured can use The Long-term Care Insurance services due to cancer.

■　Details of the grant

・ Medical and welfare services required to live at home (excluding those covered by insurance)
　 Physical care, life support, home-based bathing care, short-term entrance life care
・Use of taxis to assist in getting on and off at hospitals and going to hospitals
・Other services required for home medical care
・ Lending or purchasing welfare equipment and nursing care supplies (including expenses and consumables for carrying in and out welfare equipment However, food is not included. )
　Example: Wheelchairs (including accessories), special sleepers (including accessories), bedsore prevention equipment, postural changers, toilet seats, bathing aids, etc.

■　Grant amount

Based on the upper limit of 60,000 yen for the service usage fee per month, we support 90% of the service usage fee. (Including the purchase of welfare equipment.)
※Once you have paid the full amount of money.

If the same subsidy can be received under another system, the amount excluding the amount of the subsidy from the cost of using the service etc. is applicable.
The amount of the subsidy from Yokohama City is up to 54,000 yen per month. Usage fees that exceed the subsidy amount will be borne by the person.
In principle, the service usage fee after the “use start (planned) date” described in the application form will be eligible for the subsidy.
