Yokohama City Cancer Eradication Measures Promotion Ordinance

In Japan, one in two people is said to have cancer. Even if you are not yourself, important people close to you may get cancer.
Cancer is detected early and treated is more likely to be cured. In Yokohama City, the proposal of members of the whole city council not only prevents cancer, detects it early, and provides appropriate medical care, but also allows patients and their families to live with peace of mind even if they have cancer. The "Yokohama City Cancer Eradication Measures Promotion Ordinance" was enacted in order to promote cancer initiatives from a wide range of perspectives, such as nursing care, welfare, education, and employment, so that they can live.

Implementation status of measures related to cancer control in Yokohama City

The "Yokohama City Cancer Eradication Measures Promotion Ordinance" (hereinafter referred to as the "Ordinance") contributes to the prevention and early detection of cancer by stipulating basic matters of measures related to cancer control in Yokohama City. It was enforced in October 2014 for the purpose of promoting comprehensive cancer measures to ensure that all citizens can receive appropriate medical care for cancer.
Based on the regulations Article 18, we report the implementation situation of measure about cancer measures of Yokohama-shi of 2023.
