Working Generations and Cancer Situation

■ Cancer is a familiar disease

Those who are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime are "one in two Japanese."
Of those diagnosed with cancer in one year, "about 30% are between 15 and 64 years old".

■ Can be treated at hospital visits

The number of hospital stays is shorter year by year, and “increase in treatment at outpatients”
"Approximately 300,000 people nationwide" are going to hospital for cancer while working.

■ It is still difficult to balance work.

"I feel more than 60% is difficult" for continuing to work while going to the hospital for treatment etc.
(If you need to go to the hospital about once every two weeks)

What can be done to balance the treatment and work of cancer

In cancer treatment, advances in medical technology and therapeutic drugs have led to an increase in the number of cases where outpatient treatment is possible.
On the other hand, there have been a survey that about 30% of people have retired after being diagnosed with cancer, and "continuation of employment" while treating cancer is a major issue.
In addition, employers who are employers are required to provide support for balancing work while treating.

We have created DVDs, handbooks, and posters that can be used in training in the office, etc., in order to deepen the understanding at each office in the city for the balance between cancer treatment and work. (The information to be introduced in each product is as of the time of creation.)
