Jingyoji (Jingyoji)
Last Updated March 12, 2021
Cross the Aokibashi Bridge and enter the Miyamae shopping street along the old Tokaido road, you will find Jingyoji Temple on the mountain side. At the time of the opening of the port, the main hall of Jingyoji was made of earthenware, but it is said that it was remodeled and used for the French Embassy.
The building was lost due to the Great Kanto Earthquake and the Yokohama Air Raid, but the main hall and the guest hall were rebuilt in 1971 (1971) and are up to the present day.
In the precincts, there is a ginkgo Furuki, which is over 250 years old, which is designated as a famous tree in Yokohama City. (Published in Kanagawa-juku History Pamphlet)
