General Kotohira Shrine (Orajinja)

Last Updated March 12, 2021

A lot of things I don't know

If you go down in front of the Tanaka family, you will come out in front of Kotohira Shrine. According to the shrine's biography, this shrine was founded in the late Heian period, and was originally called Iizuna Shrine, and was located on the mountain behind the current precincts. After that, he moved to his current location, further enshrined Kotohira Shrine, and became General Kotohira Shrine. It is deeply worshiped by sailors who enter and leave Kanagawa Minato, which once spread below, and is also known for the legend of Daitengu. (Published in Kanagawa-juku History Pamphlet
