Last Updated March 12, 2021
The main god of Toko-ji Temple was originally the guardian Buddha of Michio Ota, but it is said that after the capture of Koki Castle in Doi, Hirao Uchizen, a vassal of Hojo Odawara, gave this Buddha and created Toko-ji Temple.
It is said that when giving Uchizen the main god to Uchizen, he wrote a song saying, "The light emitted is Kokomokawaraji" when giving the main god to Uchizen, and this song is also said to be the origin of the name of Toko-ji Temple. . (Published in Kanagawa-juku History Pamphlet)
