Last Updated March 12, 2021
The site of Kanagawa Daiba is off the old highway, head to the sea along the waterfall river, and hit the JR Freight Line. At the time of the opening of the port, a cannon was placed and guarded the port. The Edo Shogunate ordered the construction of the Iyomatsuyama Domain, and built a sea defense battery designed by Kaishu Katsu. At that time, Daiba was a fan-shaped fan that protruded into the sea with an area of about 8,000 tsubo, and was completed in 1860 (1860) with an cost of about 70,000 cars and a year. It was used for artillery until it was abolished in 1899 (1899), but landfill has progressed, and now only a part of the stone wall can be seen. (Pamphlet on the History of Kanagawajuku)
