Last update date November 10, 2020
What is the community support Promotion Program?
In the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, community support has played a major role in rescuing lives, with approximately 30% of those who were helped by neighboring residents.
The community support Promotion Program is designed for disaster prevention organizations (such as Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations) to promote community support within the region, and to develop a system to think about community support in their own area through training and experiences.
Let's start with what you can do to reduce human damage in the event of a large-scale disaster.
※Approximately 70% of rescue by themselves or their family, and less than 2% rescue by public agencies such as fire and police.
