On October 26, the 20th Kamisasashita District Shakyo Sweet Potato Harvest Festival was held in a field in the Hitorizawa area.
The worried rain did not fall, it was not too hot or too cold, just a good harvest day.
Beginning with a greeting from Chairman Sugiu of the sponsored district of Japan National Council of Social Welfare, "Thank you for choosing the harvest festival from Otani (the first round of the Major League World Series was held on the day). There were about 300 participants before COVID-19, but this time about 180 people. Although the number of participants has decreased, I am still grateful to be able to gather this much. I want to revive the excitement again. "

We all go to the field from Hitorizawa Shrine.
A lot of small children also participated.
Director General of Isogo Ward also participated. Neighborhood Associations officers told me, "The thick vines have large potatoes," and got a great big potato!
The afternoon dinner was canceled because the Hitorizawa Shrine office was used as a polling place for the lower house election the next day, but everyone was pleased to receive a bag of souvenir potatoes.
