Located at the southernmost tip of Isogo Ward, the Isogo Ward Hitorizawa district is home to a rich natural environment, such as the headwaters of the Okagawa River and the Shimin-no-Mori in Hitorizawa.
In this district, the "Hitorizawa Disaster Prevention Community Development Association Disaster Prevention Community Development Plan" (hereinafter referred to as the Disaster Prevention Community Development Plan) and its operating organization, the Hitorizawa Disaster Prevention Community Development Association, have been certified by the mayor based on the local community development promotion regulations.
