Yokohama City and Keikyu Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Keikyu Electric Railway") will conduct a demonstration test of a shared transfer service in the area west of Keikyu Tomioka Station in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama City (hereinafter referred to as "the area") on Monday, November 1st. We carry out from.
In this area, there are many steep slopes and narrow roads, and there are areas where access to bus stops and railway stations is not easy, and we have been conducting demonstration experiments since FY2018.
This year is positioned as the final stage for full-scale operation, and based on the results of the past three years, we will conduct paid demonstration experiments on courses centered on slopes and courses to residential areas far from the station. In addition, as a new initiative, we will expand the morning and evening operating hours, which were often requested by users, set fares for children, and introduce cashless payments to further improve convenience.
In the analysis of the results of the demonstration experiment, we will analyze the results based on changes in social conditions, such as restrictions on behavior during the experiment period.
In addition, this demonstration experiment will be conducted as part of an initiative based on the "Agreement on Promotion of Public-Private Partnership Town Development along the Keikyu Line (Southern Yokohama City)" which was re-concluded in April 2021 by Yokohama City and Keikyu Electric Railway.
