The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism defines June as “Town Development Month” every year, and awards various awards to individuals or groups that have been successful in creating attractive towns.
This year, two groups from Yokohama City received the "Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award for Community Development".
