Garbage incineration facilities use various chemicals for the purpose of preventing pollution. In addition, cement is used to solidify incinerated ash. In the event of a disaster, it may be difficult to obtain these chemicals and cements.
Therefore, last year, Yokohama City concluded an "Agreement on Cooperation in Supplying Chemicals to Waste Incineration Facilities in the Event of a Disaster" with SKS Chemical Co., Ltd. This fiscal year, we will conclude a chemical supply agreement with Kobayashi Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. and Nagashima Shoten Co., Ltd. and Watanabe Shoten Co., Ltd. to further strengthen the treatment system in the event of a disaster.
