For crowdfunding, which was launched by the Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru Memorial Foundation on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, we received support of 12,501,000 yen, far exceeding the target of 3 million yen.
At the same time as donations from people from all over the country, including overseas, we received many episodes such as the warm support message "I want Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru to be preserved as a symbol of Yokohama Port for a long time" and those who were looking forward to the sailing of the Soho Exhibition every time, and those who were on board during the active days of Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru.
In order to connect the track of Sail Training Ship, Nippon Maru, which is filled with the thoughts of many people, to the future for a long time, we will use the donations collected for maintenance and repair of hulls (part of wooden yard replacement work), restoration of radio diaries, and creation of special boxes for long-term preservation of journals.
