Yokohama Port is deeply involved in the city's economy, and not only logistics related to import and export goods, but also hotels and commercial facilities that make use of the landscape and image of the port, manufacturing industries that make use of the location, and economics including ships entering the port It has a ripple effect and is indispensable for the "international port city Yokohama" where about 3.76 million citizens live.
In order to quantitatively verify these economic effects, together with the Yokohama City Input-Output Table published in 2021, we estimated based on data and interviews from Yokohama Port Statistics.
