Following the full enforcement of the "Special Measures Law Concerning the Promotion of Measures such as the vacant houses" in May 2015, the city formulated the "Yokohama City vacant houses Measures Plan" in February 2016. In February 2019, we formulated the Second vacant houses Measures Plan for Yokohama City, and worked on comprehensive vacant houses and other measures.
Against this backdrop, the vacant houses Law was amended in June 2023 to create new systems and mechanisms to further advance vacant houses measures.
In the future, vacant houses is expected to increase due to the aging of existing houses and the aging of the population, we will revise the Second Phase Plan to further accelerate comprehensive measures such as vacant housesvacant houses. (Development is scheduled for the end of FY2023).
