Today (July 24), Takeharu Yamanaka Takeharu The Mayor of Yokohama, together with the Vice Chairman of the Council, to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment.
In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the proposal calls for an ambitious stance to drive local governments, including steady selection of areas leading decarbonization and financial measures such as the “Regional Transition to Decarbonization and Renewable Energy Promotion Grant”.
The Zero Carbon Municipality Council will continue to work closely with the government and promote the realization of a decarbonized society by 2050.
