Today (July 24), The Mayor of Yokohama Yamanaka, together with the Vice Chairman City of the Council, has submitted a "Recommendation on National Measures and Budgets for FY2024" to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Ministry of the Environment.
In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the proposal calls for the steady selection of decarbonized pre-decarbonized regions and a willingness to drive local governments, including financial measures such as the "Regional Decarbonization Transition and Renewable Energy Promotion Grant."
The Zero Carbon Municipality Council will continue to work closely with the government to promote the realization of a decarbonized society by 2050.
