Greenhouse gas emissions in the city area in FY2021 (preliminary figures)

In fiscal 2021, greenhouse gas emissions (preliminary figures) in Yokohama city area were 17.15 million tons-CO2, an increase of approximately 3.7% compared to the previous fiscal year, which is the base year for greenhouse gas emission reduction targets. In addition, energy consumption in the Yokohama area was 217 PJ, an increase of approximately 3.4% from the previous fiscal year, a decrease of about 14% compared to FY2013.

To realize a decarbonized society by 2050 and to achieve the goal of reducing greenhouse gases by 50% in FY2030 (compared to FY2013) by continuing to work with citizens and businesses to reduce greenhouse gases. We will promote reduction.
