Corporate introduction

Founded in 1997. MR Technos Co., Ltd. has been working as a bridge specialist company with a "customer-first principle" as one of its management principles. Valuing the idea of "protecting bridges connecting towns and towns and people," we provide a wide range of value to various needs, including new construction, repair, and seismic reinforcement, mainly in Yokohama. In addition, utilizing the technology cultivated in bridges, we are also active in maintenance work for concrete structures, repair and reinforcement work. There are 36 employees. Of these, five are female employees. This time, Mr. Eisuke Sasada, Representative Director, talked about women's work styles, support systems, and future recruitment.

Question 1. First of all, how did you start hiring female employees?

We started our business with three employees, including myself. One of them was a female employee in charge of administrative work. The woman is still active as General Manager of the General Affairs Department. Currently, in addition to the General Manager of the General Affairs Department, we employ a total of five female employees, including three general affairs section managers. One of them is an employee who runs a dance school (Orina Teruya of the General Affairs Department Accounting Division, who appears in the Voice of Female Employees). She has been working part-time since high school. Based on the desire to master dance and being a mom, I try to provide support so that employees can freely do what they want. In addition, our female employees are also active in obtaining qualifications. I am really wonderful because I have acquired a construction business accountant and a civil engineering construction management engineer on my own. You can leave your work with peace of mind. By the way, all tax accountants, social insurance attorneys, and administrative scriveners who have contracted with our advisors are women. We have a very good relationship with General Affairs Department, which has helped boost the motivation of female employees.

Question 2. What is the effect of hiring female employees on the company?

First, when female employees are in the workplace, the atmosphere inside the company becomes soft and gorgeous. The construction industry is still centered on men. The workplace has the image of working silently in a deadly atmosphere. This is why we believe that the contribution of female employees is promoting the creation of a bright and comfortable work environment. At the same time, another advantage is to improve the work accuracy by women's particular politeness and worries when creating materials. For example, a contract document for a bid item. Men working on the site became cluttered, and sometimes it was pointed out that documents were missing or missing. For female employees, it is very polite to put together each contract document. I feel that the active participation of female employees is essential for us to establish our own quality. In addition, some female employees take a mother-like role to take care of their employees, including their personal lives. Even in situations where I am mainly at work and I can't care about employees, I will provide such support so that employees can concentrate on their work. Occasionally, employees' children sometimes come to the company to come to play, but they also lead to the rest of their employees, including me, to relax.

Question 3. What kind of system do you currently have to provide support for female employees?

Not only female employees who gave birth, but also male employees have a period of time to take childcare leave for one month. In the case of men, they often take charge of on-site supervision by themselves during work, so we try to ensure that employees work together to follow up when taking leave. Many male employees have taken childcare leave so far, and they almost forcibly say "rest" (laughs). I want you to value your time for raising children, so I am also conscious of creating an atmosphere that makes it easy to take a break. In addition, we immediately listen to and support the voices of employees saying, "I want to take my child to the company," "I want you to adjust the time you go to the nursery school," and "I want to take my child to the hospital." In addition, we hold employee trips and birthday parties for employees every year. We believe that recruitment is a family member, so we invite employees with spouses and children on a family basis. Also, in terms of work, if employees do not go well at work, we will follow everyone and give serious guidance. Because I'm a family. I hope that all employees will wake up in the morning and come to work. Let's learn as a person through work and build a rich life. I hope the company can provide the opportunity to do that.

Question 4. Please tell us about promoting the active participation of women in the future.

First of all, in terms of institutionality, I think it would be nice to have a system that evaluates not only women but also silver and young human resources. Of course, I think that efforts to promote the active participation of women, such as the Kanagawa Child Care Support Team and the Yokohama Good Balance Award, have also led to corporate environmental improvement and motivation, so I want you to put more effort into that. is. However, it is also important for the industry to solve the shortage of human resources for young people. If you don't bring up young people, there's no future for the industry. In addition, we have recently renewed our work clothes because we wanted to change the image of the construction industry. It's popular among employees that it's cool (laughs). In the future, we would like to work on the development of civil engineering girls. To that end, I would like to provide a way of working according to my abilities, rather than limiting places where women can play an active role. Naturally, there are still a lot of issues, such as improving the work environment, but the strength of our small and medium-sized enterprises is that they can flexibly respond to what employees are looking for and situations and provide individual support. Taking advantage of these strengths, I would like to make the industry easier for women to work.

My mother was working at our company, so I was hired as a part-time job when I was in high school. After that, at the age of 20, he became a full-time employee at the recommendation of the president. I have been in charge of accounting since then, and I am currently working as an accounting section manager. The job of accounting is like a puzzle game. It's fun to match the numbers. In addition, I have been involved in performing arts since I was a child, and now I run a dance school in addition to the work of this company, but the company has supported me in various aspects. That's why I wanted to contribute more to the company, so I acquired the qualifications of a "construction accountant" and a "civil engineering construction management engineer". I hope that we will continue to back up the construction department that works on site. Currently, I work while leaving my child in a nursery school, but I have been playing inside the company one hour before leaving work. I am very grateful for the consideration of my company and colleagues, and it is really attractive that I respect each employee. In the future, I would like to take on the challenge of acquiring the first grade of construction industry accountants. It may be difficult for work or childcare, but for me who hates losing, I only do my best.
