1 Purpose of Study
The Yokohama Central Wholesale Market plays an important role in ensuring a stable supply of fresh foods and other products indispensable to the daily lives of citizens and fair transactions. However, due to changes in the distribution environment and diversification of trading patterns in recent years, the expansion of distribution that does not go through wholesale markets and competition between markets has become increasingly severe. In order for the Central Wholesale Market to continue to provide safe and secure fresh foods to citizens in a stable manner, we worked to revitalize the market and had a comprehensive discussion on the future vision.
※The “Yokohama City Central Wholesale Market Exploratory Committee” compiled the results of the examination as a proposal, and was dissolved at the “Yokohama City Central Wholesale Market Establishment Management Council” held on March 10, 2008 due to achievement of the purpose. Was.
