Ambassador Hoziréne Morake of the Republic of Botswana and his wife came to the Tsuzuki Botswana Exchange Children's Art Exhibition.
On December 16, Ambassador Jozirene Morake of the Republic of Botswana and his wife came to the agency to appreciate the Tsuzuki Botswana Exchange Children's Art Exhibition.
After a meeting with Director General, Ambassador Morake and his wife enjoyed the children's painting exhibition and enjoyed the pictures drawn by third-year students at Chigasaki Elementary School and the pictures drawn by elementary school student at Ben Tema Elementary School in Botswana.
There were also scenes where Director General explained Japanese culture to the ambassador who showed interest in the contents of the painting, and on the contrary, the ambassador introduced the Botswana culture depicted in Ben Tema Elementary School.
This year's children's painting exhibition was threatened by the impact of COVID-19, such as the closing of Ben Tema Elementary School, but with the cooperation of the embassy and schools, we were able to realize it. In addition, I would like to thank Nippon Express Co., Ltd. for their repeated adjustments in transportation.
The Tsuzuki Botswana Exchange Children's Painting Exhibition, which depicts children from both countries want to convey to their children, is held from December 16 to 23 at the Tsuzuki Ward Hall. We will also exhibit pictures of children in Botswana from February 9 to 14, 2022 at the B Space on the 1st floor of Yokohama City Hall. Please take a look.
I would like to continue to carry out this exhibition so that this children's painting exhibition can be a bridge between the two countries.
