Ambassador Hozileen Morake of the Republic of Botswana and Ambassador's wife came to the Tsuzuki-Botswana Exchange Children's Drawing Exhibition
On December 16, Ambassador Hozileen Morake of the Republic of Botswana and his wife of the ambassador were visited to watch the Tsuzuki-Botswana Exchange Children's Art Exhibition.
After a meeting with Director General, Ambassador Morake and Ambassador's wife watched a children's art exhibition and enjoyed the pictures drawn by a third-year student at Chigasaki Elementary School and elementary school student at Ben Tema Elementary School in Botswana.
There were occasions when Director General explained Japanese culture to the ambassador who showed interest in the contents of the painting, while the ambassador introduced Botswana culture depicted in Ben Tema Elementary School.
This year's children's art exhibition was at stake due to the impact of COVID-19, such as the closure of Ben Tema Elementary School, but with the cooperation of the embassy and the school, we were able to realize this year's children's paintings. Also, I would like to thank Nippon Express Co., Ltd. for making repeated adjustments in transportation.
The Tsuzuki-Botswana Children's Art Exhibition, which depicts children from both countries want to convey to their children, will be held at the Tsuzuki Ward City Hall from December 16 to 23. In addition, a picture of Botswana children will be exhibited in the B space on the first floor of Yokohama City Hall from February 9 to 14, 2022. Please take a look.
I would like to continue this exhibition so that this children's painting exhibition will serve as a bridge between the two countries.
