Documentary movie "Suzu-san-Showa Housework and Family Story-" screening was held!

On November 14, a screening of the documentary film "Suzu-san-Showa Housework and Family Story-" was held at the Yokohama Museum of History under the sponsorship of "Cultural Exchange Salon-For our Tsuzuki-", and about 90 people We had you enjoy. This film is a documentary film about pre-war, post-war life from a mother's point of view. This film consists of testimony from Kazuko Koizumi, a life historian who admired his mother, Suzu, who lived as a full-time housewife, and recorded images of air raids and housework.
In addition to being able to learn about the situation during the war from the Meiji era to the Showa era, it was a content that made me feel the warmth of the family and the preciousness of everyday life, and it was an impression that many people were nostalgic . In addition, from the splendid "handiwork", it is a work that makes us think about the "power to live" that we are losing in a convenient life and gives us awareness.

After the movie screening, talk shows were held by director Atsushi Ogaki, illustrator Mie Takahashi, and Deputy Director of the Museum of History, Takeshi Inoue. I was able to hear the behind-the-scenes state and his thoughts on filmmaking.
In addition, visitors' presents prepared by the organizer (7 books of Mie Takahashi's town walk MAP and 10 movie programs) were presented to 17 people who won the rock-paper-scissors with the moderator, and it was exciting.
On the day of the event, in front of the main entrance of the History Museum, a special corner for books related to movies, "Continuing Book Cafe" and Mie Takahashi's "Original Painting Exhibition" were also held at the same time, and visitors were enjoying themselves.
