Chigasaki Elementary School fourth grader sent support board and support video to Botswana team!

　The Republic of Botswana and Tsuzuki Ward   Chigasaki Elementary School have been interacting with each other since the 4th African Development Conference held in Yokohama in 2008.
　In order to support the Botswana Olympic national team visiting Yokohama at the pre-camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, fourth graders (4 classes, 145 students) have created a support board and a support video.
　For the support board, elementary school studenｔ wrote a support message on the 7.5cm x 7.5cm Chiyogami, and put it on the board for each class. elementary school studenｔ, which draws Botswana and Japanese flags, and "Good Luck!" in English I expressed my feelings like elementary school studenｔ, who wrote "Please do your best!" in Japanese, and elementary school studenｔ, which folds cranes and shurikens with Chiyogami. When we put Chiyogami on the support board, we discussed with elementary school studenｔ and others so that the same color would not be next to each other, and completed it through trial and error.

　From the viewpoint of preventing the spread of COVID-19 infection, we will not be able to meet and deliver the support board directly, so we decided to create support videos. In the video, Tsuzuki Ondo and Yume no Tsuzuki, which are popular among Tsuzuki residents, are used as BGM, the first half introduces exchanges between Chigasaki Elementary School and the Republic of Botswana, and the second half contains support messages from elementary school studenｔ.
　The elementary school studenｔ and others held the blue, white and black poms and balloons of Botswana flags, and the flags of Botswana flags, and cheered together with the support messages that were thought for each class.
　The support board and video were delivered to the hotel where the athlete was staying, and the video was viewed at the dining venue.
　With many restrictions imposed on players during the COVID-19 pandemic, I think elementary school studenｔ's heartfelt message was able to encourage them.
　Tsuzuki Ward   will continue to promote exchanges with the Republic of Botswana.
