About evacuation sites, which is opened in the event of storm and flood damage in Midori Ward
We will inform you of the designated emergency evacuation sites that is scheduled to be opened when evacuation warning is issued due to landslides, river flooding, flooding, etc. due to the approach of heavy rain or large typhoons.

We announce when we announce "earth and sand disaster caution information ※ 1 (the northern part of Yokohama-shi)".
※1 A joint announcement by the "Prefectures" and the "Japan Meteorological Agency" when a landslide that poses a danger to life can occur at any time.
If there is a high possibility that earth and sand disaster warning information will be released at night, we will issue evacuation of elderly people [alert level 3] in advance and open the evacuation sites.

Comprehensively judge the water levels of rivers, water levels of upstream, downstream and tributaries, rainfall in basins, etc., give top priority to the safety of inhabitants of the ward, and issue evacuation warning etc. early. In addition, we will establish a evacuation sites near the district where the evacuation warning was issued. Please note that we will not open all evacuation sites.

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, it is necessary to avoid "closed, dense, and close" in evacuation sites.
If you are in a safe place, you don't have to go to evacuation sites. And going to evacuation sites is not the only evacuation behavior. Please consider evacuation to safe acquaintances, friends' homes, hotels, etc. so that evacuation sites is not crowded.

Evacuation of pets in evacuation sites during wind and flood damage
evacuation sites, which can be used by people who have trouble with animals or those who are allergic to animals. Please observe the rules when breeding and managing pets that have been done. If you do not comply, you may be refused to bring your pet.
And not all evacuation sites can accept pets.
In order to reduce the burden on pets, consider evacuation to pet hotels, relatives and acquaintances' homes, and secure temporary storage locations in advance.
◇The temporary breeding area in evacuation sites during storms and floods is separate from human space to prevent allergies.
◇Pets must be kept in a cage at the designated temporary breeding area, and must not be placed elsewhere.
◇There is no stockpile of pets in evacuation sites. The owner must bring all necessary items such as cages, hoods, pet sheets, medicines, etc.
