Furniture fall prevention
Last update date July 2, 2020
In preparation for an earthquake, take measures to prevent furniture from falling!
Many people have been killed in the fall of indoor furniture.
In the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, there is a survey report that about 90% of those who died were crushed due to collapsed houses or underneath fallen furniture.
In addition, there are survey reports suggesting that about 10% of those who died were due to furniture fall prevention.
Let's use fall prevention goods.
Preparations are essential so that you can save your life whenever an earthquake strikes.
L-shaped brackets (requires strength on the wall)
Paste rod (the ceiling needs strength)
Adhesive mat (Notes on expiration date)
There are many other measures.
Put furniture in a place that does not hit the sleeping person directly, even if it falls down.
Attach a shatterproof film to the glass door and attach a clasp to the door.
In front of doors and corridors will be evacuation routes, so do not place anything that falls down.
