In the event of a major fire caused by an earthquake, Midori Ward has designated nine locations to protect lives and bodies from this radiant heat and smoke.

In addition, the following areas are referred to as "areas where the risk of large-scale fire spread is low." Areas with low risk of large-scale fire spread are considered to be extremely unlikely to occur. Even if the evacuation area is not designated, the safety of life is secured through evacuation actions taken by residents.
