In Asian countries, rapid population growth and urbanization are progressing, and water utilities are required to expand water supply services and provide them appropriately and sustainably.
Taking advantage of its technology and experience in the water field, Yokohama City has held four plenary sessions in Yokohama in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to promote international contributions to sustainable business management in Asian countries.

City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau, together with the Research Center for Water Engineering, served as the secretariat and held the 7th, 9th and 11th symposiums in Pacifico-yokohama.

International Water Association Strategic Asset Management Conference "IWA LESAM2015" was held in Yokohama.
A total of 222 people from 23 countries attended, including 43 oral presentations, 52 poster presentations, panel discussions, and business forums.
