When using water supply

About standard terms and conditions of water supply contract

Due to the revision of the Civil Code enforced on April 1, 2020, a new rule on "standard terms and conditions" will be newly established and will be applied to water supply contracts.
The standard terms and conditions are defined as "the sum of the provisions prepared by a specific person for the purpose of making the contract content in a standard transaction."
In Motoichi, "Yokohama-shi water supply regulations" which established conditions of water supply supply contract and "Yokohama-shi water supply regulations enforcement regulations" become contents of contract correspond to standard contract.

Contents

1.Notification of start / cancellation of water supply

If you want to start or stop using the water supply, please contact the Water Works Bureau Customer Service Center at least 3 days in advance or apply via the Internet.

2.Meter reading of water consumption

Meter reading of the amount of water used is performed once every two months. (Excluding start and cancellation of use)

3.Water charges

Calculated based on the amount of water used.
Please refer to "How Water Rate Mechanisms" for rates.

4.Payment of water charges

In the case of fund transfer or credit card payment (excluding continuation), it will take a little time to switch from the delivery notice.
As for credit card payment, applications are currently concentrated, so it takes about two months to complete the procedure.

5.Suspension of water supply

(1) Non-payment of fees

Please pay the fee within the payment deadline. If payment is not possible despite repeated notices, water supply will be suspended in principle.

(2) Accidents, disasters, etc.

Due to accidents or disasters, water supply may be unavoidably stopped or restricted.

6.Replacement of water meters

Water meters have a validity period of eight years under the Measurement Law, and are replaced by Water Works Bureau before the expiration of the certification period.

7.Ownership of water supply equipment

The water supply pipe from the branch of the water pipe on the road to the faucet of each household is owned by the customer (property), so please manage it appropriately. .
In addition, about repair with failure of water supply equipment, customer requests private water supply construction shop (list of water leak repair companies downstream of meter) from water meter to faucet and repair.
For repairs on the road side from the water meter, contact the Water Works Bureau Customer Service Center.

8.Cleaning the receiving tank

Simple dedicated water supply and small-scale water tank water supply are to clean the water receiving tank at least once a year.
When cleaning the receiving tank using tap water, please use tap water that passed through the water meter.
Application is necessary when we clean using water which does not pass through water meter as follows and when we drain water stored in water receiving tank.
