Notice to customers who have received the delivery notice (payment form) by credit card payment

About credit settlement

 Water Works Bureau enters into credit card payment agreements with credit card companies.
 Among them, there are credit cards that make a direct contract with a credit card company, and a credit card payment is made through the card company's international brands (such as VISA and Master).
 For settlement, the credit card company checks whether the card is valid or invalid, the limit, etc., performs data processing such as securing a credit frame (use frame), and performs settlement processing based on the results determined by the credit card company. We are doing.
  

Credit card companies that have direct contracts with Water Works Bureau are as follows:

 JCB Co., Ltd., Ucy Card Co., Ltd., Jacks Co., Ltd., Life Card Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi UFJ Nikos Co., Ltd., UCS Co., Ltd., Credit Saison Co., Ltd., AEON Financial Services Co., Ltd.

Regarding the reason for sending the delivery notice

 This time, the customer who received the delivery notice checked the validity, limit, etc. of the card, and secured a credit frame (use frame), etc., and as a result, the customer's card was transferred from the card company. A delivery notice was sent out because it was determined that settlement was impossible.
 Until now, in payments through international brands (VISA / Master), if the registered card has expired, but if the card company is less than a certain amount, check the validity etc. Payment was completed without checking the validity. However, at the request of the card company, all bills charged from the water charge in September 2023 will be checked for validity.
 Therefore, if the validity check of the card billing after September is not checked, Water Works Bureau will send a delivery notice.

 Customers who receive the delivery notice should do the following:

Regarding this payment, please pay with your delivery notice.

Please confirm that the card information registered by the customer at the time of application has not expired.

If the expiration date has expired, customers who wish to continue to pay the card will need to apply again as a new procedure. (excluding credit cards with direct contracts with Water Works Bureau)

 Please refer to how to apply for credit payment (re-application for card renewal etc.) before applying. 
 In addition, about bill such as water charges that occurred before procedure completion, we cannot claim to new registration card.
 Until the renewal procedure is completed, please pay using the delivery notice (payment form).

In October 2023, some customers encountered error transactions on the credit card company system.

 In a claim made to a credit card company in October 2023, some customers were mistaken for the credit card company's system.
 Some customers are eligible for the delivery notice stating that "This fee could not be handled by the credit company, so please pay with this slip."
 The delivery notice with the same statement has been issued for another reason (such as expiration date).
 Customers who receive a delivery notice even though their registered credit card has not been updated since the application for credit card payment to Water Works Bureau may have suffered an error transaction in the system.
 Unfortunately, Water Works Bureau does not receive detailed information on the details of the error details from the card company, so it is not possible to confirm whether the error was made in the system or whether the error was caused by checking the card's validity.

 Among the customers who have issued a delivery notice, many customers whose credit card has expired in addition to those whose credit card has expired in addition to those who have been mistaken in the system. For this reason, all customers who contact Water Works Bureau are encouraged to apply for a credit card payment.

 Depending on the credit card used, you may be able to apply on the credit card company's website or on the application form.

Credit card companies that can be used by credit card payment (please check the name of the issued card on the back of the credit card)

Credit cards issued by companies other than those listed in the above "Credit card that can be used without re-application for credit card payment when the card is renewed" can be used as long as the following logo is included.
However, when the card is renewed, you will need to reapply for credit card payment.

Precautions for credit card payment

Information from credit card companies

  1. Payments will be made only once.
  2. Not applicable if the water charge exceeds the card usage limit.
  3. Due to the relationship between the credit card company deadline and the meter reading date of City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau and other administrative reasons, billing for this month may be delayed to the following month.

Information from City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau

At the time of application

 1.In the following cases, applications will not be accepted. City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau, where water usage is used and registered billing
  We will notify you of your address or your card holder, Address, that you will not be able to handle it, and will continue the conventional payment method.
   ・When multiple facilities are billed in total (collective lump sum payment)
   ・If the validity of the credit card cannot be confirmed.
   ・If the contents of the application form are incomplete.

 2.It will take about one month to complete the procedure.

After credit card payment starts

 1.Payment will be made based on the membership terms and conditions of the card company.
 2.City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau will not issue a receipt or any other document notifying the receipt of the receipt.

 3.For water charges, etc., which were read before the application procedure is completed, please pay using the conventional payment method.
 4.If your credit card is renewed due to expiration date, etc., please apply for an updated credit card.
 5.In the following cases, only the applicable request will be made directly from City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau by the delivery notice.
   ・When the amount charged at one time exceeds 100,000 yen
   ・When credit card payment cannot be made due to credit card company regulations, such as exceeding the credit card usage limit
   ・Other administrative reasons
 6.In the following cases, credit card payments will be discontinued. Subsequently, the delivery notice directly from City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau.

When changing a registered credit card to another credit card (including a change of card number and expiration date)

  1. You will need to apply for a new one. Please apply from the dedicated application form (please contact the Water Works Bureau Customer Service Center) or the City of Yokohama, Water Works Bureau WEB Credit Application Page (external site).
  2. Until the newly applied credit card is registered, you will be charged to your current credit card. When the new credit card registration is completed, it will switch automatically.
  3. When there is confirmation of the contents of the application, etc., the department in charge (045-337-0473) may contact you.
