About certification system of water supply cooperation water tank at the time of disaster

This is the City of Yokohama, Medical Care Bureau Health Sanitation Division site. We provide information on water supply cooperation water tanks during disasters.

In Yokohama City, we are calling for a stockpiling of 3 liters per person per day for 3 days and 3 days in order to secure drinking water, assuming that water supply will no longer be available in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake. .

As a new emergency water supply source to complement this, we have established a system to certify facilities that can provide water to local residents (neighboring residents and people unable to return home) as much as possible in the event of a disaster.

(1)Being a facility that is subject to the "water supply management conformity facility" in Yokohama City.

(2)Being certified as an excellent management facility by the Japan Water Supply and Sanitation Inspection Association (Service Association) as an excellent management facility, and disaster prevention measures for water tanks have been taken.

(3)Instructors are willing to provide water in the water tank to local residents (neighboring residents and people unable to return home) as much as possible in the event of a disaster.

(4)You can agree to disclose the name and location of the facility.

１．Please confirm that it is "water supply management conformity facility" of Yokohama-shi.

２．When you take the management status inspection, please apply for the certification of excellent management facility through the inspection organization (verbal is acceptable).

After the certification of 3.2, Yokohama City will ask you for cooperation in providing water to local residents in the event of a disaster. If you agree to the cooperation, please contact Yokohama City and submit a request for certification.

４．From Yokohama-shi, we hand authorization decision letter of advice, water supply cooperation water tank authorization plate at the time of disaster. Please post the plate in an easy-to-see place of the facility.

※Disaster water supply cooperation water tanks provide water tank water to the extent possible at each facility. Depending on the situation at the time of the disaster, we may not be able to provide information.
