The Ryokan Business Law changed from December 13, 2023.
The Ryokan Business Law was revised and came into effect on December 13, 2023.
Outline of the revision
1.Adding reasons for refusal to stay
- It has been decided that a person who made a specific request in relation to customer harassment may be refused accommodation.
2.Enhancement of infection prevention measures
- ①Only during the period when a specific infectious disease occurs in Japan, the inn business operator can ask the guest for the necessary cooperation to prevent the infection of the specific infectious disease, depending on the presence or absence of the symptoms. It was decided.
- ※Specific infectious diseases: Class 1 infectious diseases, Class 2 infectious diseases, infectious diseases such as pandemic influenza, designated infectious diseases (limited to those where the provisions such as hospitalization are applied mutatis mutandis) and new infectious diseases under the Infectious Diseases Law.
- ②One of the reasons for refusal to stay, "when it is clearly recognized that you have an infectious disease" has been clarified as "when you are a patient with a specific infectious disease."
