Permission to breed or house animals

The permission system for animal breeding facilities based on the Act on Chemical Plants, etc. is for facilities that breed or house animals in residential areas.
It was enacted to prevent the occurrence of mosquitoes and flies and odor.
In Yokohama City, the following types of animals specified by a Cabinet Order are subject to the Kanagawa Prefecture Ordinance (Ordinance for Enforcement of the Law Concerning Kanagawa Prefecture Chemical Plants, etc.)
Permission is required in advance when bred or housed more than the specified number.

※1 When breeding miniature hoses, ponies or mini pigs for pet purposes, permission is required for even one animal.
※2 When breeding 10 or more dogs, permission is required for puppies.
※3 For chickens and ducks, excluding chicks less than 30 days.

In addition to business purposes such as livestock farmers, horse riding clubs, pet shops, etc., animals that are subject to permission even for pet purposes in ordinary households
Permission is required when breeding more than the number specified in the regulations.

Small pigs called micro pigs that have been bred for pets are bred indoors with humans.
Permission may not be required if there is no risk of breeding and there is no risk of environmental health problems.
