About eyelash extension

Eyelash extension is a beauty technology that attaches artificial eyelashes to eyelashes using an adhesive.
Because it is a treatment for delicate eyes, stimulation of adhesives and equipment tends to cause health hazards such as eye pain and swelling, so care must be taken.

For those who are undergoing treatment such as eyelash extension, eyelash perma, etc.

Eyelash extension, eyelash perma, etc. (hereinafter referred to as “Matsu Eck, etc.”) This is a beauty act defined by the Beautician Act.
Only hairdressers are allowed to perform treatment at stores that have been registered as beauty salons.
If you are operating a store that operates Matsu Eck, etc., please contact Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division in the ward where the facility is located.

Precautions for Preventing Health Damage

Beauty salons that perform treatments such as Matsu Eck should work on the following so that health damage does not occur around eyes and eyes.

  1. Acquisition of knowledge necessary for the treatment of Matsu Eck, etc.
    • Acquire knowledge about structures and functions such as eyes and eyelashes, and diseases around eyes and eyes.
    • Acquire knowledge about the correct handling method, precautions for use, maintenance management method, etc. of the equipment used for treatment such as Matsu Eck.

Points to note when undergoing treatment

Matsu Eck, etc. are susceptible to health hazards such as pain and swelling around the eyes and eyes, so be aware of the following.

  • Be sure to fully explain and understand the dangers of health hazards, etc., and decide whether to receive treatment.
  • Be sure to receive a sufficient explanation of the precautions when receiving the treatment (receive the treatment with the eyes closed so that the adhesive etc. does not enter the eyes, and after the treatment, it takes time for the adhesive etc. to dry completely etc.)
  • If you feel any abnormalities around your eyes or eyes during or after the treatment, see a doctor immediately.
  • At the time of consultation, tell your doctor that you have received treatment such as Matsu Eck.
