About highly pathogenic avian influenza

1 For animal handlers

In order to prevent infection to viewers and prevent the spread of infection to poultry, etc., all bird exhibitors, please pay special attention to the following.

About breeding management of birds

1 Inspect the breeding place and prevent wild birds from entering and contacting breeding birds.
2 Properly store and manage the food and water of breeding birds so that they are not polluted by wild birds.
3 Keep the breeding area clean by removing dirt such as feces.
4 Disinfect the breeding area and breeding equipment at any time.
5 After contact with birds or cleaning the breeding area, wash your hands and gargle thoroughly.
  In addition, wear disposable gloves and masks when cleaning.

※ Regularly observe the health of breeding birds and consult a veterinarian immediately if there is any abnormality such as sudden loss of appetite, upside down the wings and Health and Welfare Center Health Sanitation Division, each ward, if you suspect a bird flu.

2 To everyone who keeps birds

Even if bird bird flu occurs in Japan, it does not mean that chickens and small birds raised at home or school are immediately dangerous.
Perform appropriate hygiene management referring to "1 Bird breeding management, etc.", and consult your veterinarian if any abnormalities are found. If you are suspected of being infected by a veterinarian's diagnosis, such as a positive test, please contact the Health Sanitation Division Health and Welfare Center in each district.

If your owner's physical condition is unwell, consult a medical institution as soon as possible.
