1 To animal handlers

Please pay special attention to the following in order to prevent transmission to viewers and prevent the spread of infection to poultry, etc., in all bird display breeders.

About bird breeding management etc.

1 Inspect the breeding area so that wild birds do not invade and come into contact with breeding birds.
2. Store and manage properly so that the feed and water of the breeding birds are not contaminated with wild birds.
3 Keep the breeding place clean by removing dirt such as dung.
4. Disinfect the breeding place and breeding facilities at any time.
5 After contact with birds and cleaning the breeding area, wash your hands and gargle thoroughly.
  Please wear disposable gloves and a mask when cleaning.

※ Regularly monitor the health of breeding birds, consult a veterinarian immediately if there is an abnormality such as sudden loss of appetite, raising their wings and nodding their necks, or suddenlyHealth and Welfare CenterHealth Sanitation Division.

2 To everyone who has birds

The outbreak of bird flu in Japan does not mean that chickens and birds bred at home and school are immediately dangerous.
Perform appropriate hygiene management referring to “1 Bird breeding management, etc.” If abnormalities are seen, consult your veterinarian. If you are suspected of being infected by a veterinarian diagnosis, such as a result of a simple test, please contact Health Sanitation Division Health and Welfare Center.

If you feel sick with the owner's physical condition, consult a medical institution early.
