Precautions when humans come into contact with animals

Last Updated March 16, 2019

If you keep it properly, you do not need to worry too much about zoonotic infections, but just in case, be aware of the following:

If you touch the animal, be sure to wash your hands.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap after touching the animal or after treating the animal's dung.

Let's refrain from excessive contact with animals

Animals may have pathogens in the mouth and nails, so do not feed them by mouth transfer or share spoons and chopsticks.

When raising birds indoors, be sure to keep ventilation.

Feathers, dried excrement, dust and dust can easily fill the room.
In addition to cleaning the cage and the room frequently, try to ventilate regularly.

If the animal is strange, have a veterinary clinic immediately.

Always check that your animal looks different.
If you find any abnormalities in your animal, consult your veterinarian as soon as possible.
Regular animal physical checkup is also very effective in preventing disease.

If you feel unwell, see a medical institution immediately.

At the consultation, tell your doctor about your pet's breeding status and history of contact with animals.

Avoid breeding wild animals at home or contact with the outdoors.

Wild animals do not know what pathogens they have. Don't touch wild animals unnecessarily.
Also, from the viewpoint of wildlife protection, wild animals must not be bred in principle.
